SCENERY PAINTING FOR THE AMATEUR MUSICAL THEATRE and PANTOMIME
|ALADDIN Ulster page two|
|Designed and painted by Brian Willis.
Sets built by Colin Hompstead.
Performed by the Ulster Operatic Company (1972)
|Widow Twankey's kitchen. Backcloth with book-flat doorway on right and three wings on left. Bottles on shelf on right is a tromp l'oeil, as is the painted "open" door on backcloth|
|Aladdin Village . (yes I know it's grainy!)
On the left is a bookflat with a window void so actors could draw
back the curtains and appear. The "Peek Inn" on the right is a wing.
I wonder who the bloke is on the left.? And what he looks like thirty years on?
