SCENERY PAINTING FOR THE AMATEUR MUSICAL THEATRE and PANTOMIME
ALADDIN - page eleven
Designed and painted by Brian Willis.
Sets built by Colin Hompstead
Performed by the Ulster Operatic Company (1972)
The Cave Interior. Backcloth and wings. I told you I loved stalactites and stalagmites! When the edges of the wings are cut out to follow the shapes of the rock formations it makes a wonderful layering effect and the audience is confused as to what is an entranceway and what is scenery.
