CASTLE TOWER WINGS

Castle Tower wings

Two Wings for Sleeping Beauty to accompany Castle Ext backcloth - see previous page. These go either side of the stage to act as a false proscenium. There will be coloured gel in the windows with lamps behind. When the Castle "goes to sleep" the lights will be extinguished and cobwebs and ivy projected onto the walls. So I was asked to keep these areas clear for the projections. The towers are twelve feet high (2.5 litre paint tin for scale) and each breaks down into four parts so they can be carried in the Hullabaloo company's van. Because of the acute angle of the sun, the joins are noticeable in this photo but hopefully won't show under theatre lights.
