Wings for audience right. Photographed in the workshop. No paint tin for scale but I think these flats were fifteen feet high. See the bottom of these flats to work out which tree is which. I have included these to show the old saying "when painting trees don't forget to leave some holes for the birdies to fly through" When blocking in I leave these holes then put in the sky colour towards the end of the painting work. It's at that stage that I also put in the boughs which are in front of that sky. I am always intrigued that the eye happily accepts sky where in fact the trees behind would have obliterated it .
