SCENERY PAINTING FOR THE AMATEUR MUSICAL THEATRE and PANTOMIME
A CHRISTMAS CAROL page two
Designed and painted by Brian Willis
Performed by Doctors and nurses at the Coleraine Hospital (1991)
Detail of the cloth on the previous page. The person leaning against the fireplace is the hospital maintenance man who erected this cloth. Some of my favourite elements are incorporated into this scene... the half used candle, book case with books, window (Circular bottle-glass panes) with shadows of the frame on the thick reveal and cracks in the wall which help define the various planes.
