Now here's a funny thing. I have drawings of the wings and backcloth but not the full layout. Here are the wings. See next page for the backcloth

There's that eyeline geometry again. Note the hoops on the barrel on the left. Nine inches off the stage floor the hoop is a straight line but the further up the barrel one goes, the more pronounced the curve in the hoops become.
The black line down the centre of the above two flats is where the drawing was folded.

As you surf about my scenery pages you'll spot trends like this - thick beams, barrels, steps etc. items that appear often in my set designs. Some would call it a style. I'm more inclined to call it laziness as I can't be bothered to dream up something new!
