SCENERY PAINTING FOR THE AMATEUR MUSICAL THEATRE and PANTOMIME
Kiss Me Kate - The Padua backcloth
Designer Donald O'Brien. Scenic Artist- Brian Willis. Sets constructed by Sean Magee
Performed by Portrush Music Society in the Riverside Theatre (1999)

My original drawing for the 8 foot wide "Padua" backcloth squared up ready to be transferred onto the backcloth. This was the backcloth used within the show for the "play" that's why it is so short in width as there was an imitation proscenium arch in front of this.

Sorry about the black splodges- non waterproof ink! Horizontal line at the 5 foot mark is my horizon/eye line. All the buildings had different vanishing points to make them look higgledy-piggledy
