"BEAUTIFUL GIRLS" BACKING

Photo taken under fluorescent light. 5 ltr paint tin for scale. Cloth is 11 feet wide by nine feet high.

A six foot wide by two feet high by four feet deep stage goes in front of this cloth. The stage will have steps going up to it. All being painted pink. Again a single point perspective painting with the point being in the centre at floor level. I wanted to give the impression of a rising staircase so made the vanishing point for the stairs in the centre of the cloth but kept the VP of the foreground pillar tops as the one at floor level. Although there is a stage planned to go in front of this cloth I, nevertheless, painted in some steps just in case it is seen. I have been caught out before when a planned piece of scenery is omitted at the last minute. This is a light entertainment cloth so I indulged myself by putting in some black outlines (rare for me)

This cloth had words in the top centre. These I got put on by a sign making company. Here is a detail of it. The wrinkles will disappear once the cloth is stretched on a frame.
End of "Sing in Rain" two pages.
