SCENERY PAINTING FOR THE AMATEUR MUSICAL THEATRE and PANTOMIME
SNOW WHITE
Backcloth designed and painted by Brian Willis
Performed by pupils of Earlview Primary School, New Mossley in 2011

This was another commission by the Hullabaloo Interactive Children's Theatre and once again was a cloth produced by Rutters (a Cambridge Company) who printed the 20ft by 10ft dropcloth from my original A3 sized acrylic painting.

Here is my original acrylic.....

And below is the cloth in use. This cloth was commissioned to be used by the touring Hullabaloo company at various venues. In this case the school stage was only seven feet high so the bottom had to be tucked up. But not really very noticeable here. That is the beauty of the material on which Rutters print their cloths. It can be treated abominably - like chucked into a sack or rolled up - and yet once hung for a while all the creases disappear.

Hey the creases look like the rays of the sun!
