WITCHES DEN FLATS

Size 20 feet long by 7'6" high. 5 ltr paint tin for scale.
A series of flats butt joined together.

The centre black section will be drapes which part to enable the witch to emerge through.

Tall bones in the centre hide the joins of the flats. Green hanging slime on left and snake on right also hide joins.

Psst ... Sand bank on the far right hides the fact that I can't paint wrist bones properly!

The Foreground cow skull is a separate flat hiding rostra. Cracks help to define the various planes.

TOO SCARY?

Will this be too frightening for the younger children? My feeling is they see so much of this sort of stuff on their games consoles and comics.

Although I really painted this snake to help me give depth to that area. The shadow helps too as it shows the "roundness" of the rib. The section emerging down from the eye socket also hides a join in the flat.

At one time I toyed with the idea of the tail coming out of the mouth.
