The two sarcophagi.(chair gives scale)
Close up of one sarcophagus
Janis writes :- "The Dragons and Sarcophagi were designed and painted by my husband Ian and myself. They are just made of big boxes which we painted flat black, Dragons on one side, Sarcophagi on the other. I used a mask of King Tut as the form for the sarcophagi and then hot glued them to the boxes. I then sprayed the whole thing with gold paint before painting in the details."

And here the two dragons which were painted on the backs of those boxes

Janis writes : - ."For the Dragons, we put little red lights in the eyes, so when the curtains open on the Palace scene, it is in darkness, and all you can see are the red lights, then they turn the lights up on the scene to the sound of oohs and aahs!"

Dragons painted by Ian Dods, who used a mist of spray gold paint on them to give a glowing effect
