NEW YORK STREET SCENE Grid and outlines drawn on canvas
23rd March - I took the "Central Park" cloth down and rolled it onto the alloy roller. Put up the new canvas for "NY Street", stretched it and then the usual 2.5 hours non-stop sealing.

March 24th. Drew out the grid and started transferring the outlines. (Then two days break)

March 27th Completed the transferring of outlines. Now all I have to do is paint it!
Unfortunately there is three feet missing from the left hand side of this photo. By the way notice the detritus around my feet. These are lengths of string coming from the various vanishing points.

Where a VP is actually on the canvas, I tether a length of string to that point and use the string as a guideline for the various construction lines. I hold the end of the string at the VP with masking tape.

Here's a close-up of it.
