"GOING ON BOARD" Page one

BACKCLOTH (This backcloth will also be used for the "On Board" scene)

GROUND ROWS Will sit either side of the stage to look like the side of the ship

POSSIBLE ELEMENTS which could go into this scene.

Gangway ramp Sean suggests this can be folded in some way to make more space for the dancers

Rostrum Behind ground rows

There are two eyelines in this scene!! (An impossibility in the real world - but this is Pantomime) The eyeline for the side of ship ground rows is one foot off the floor, whereas the eyeline for the ship backcloth is three feet off the floor. I doubt if anyone will notice.

GANGWAY SIDES (Two off)

Attached to "Ship Sides" ground row to add rigidity

ROSTRUM
Suggested layout of flats and rostrum. Slight lean forward is to stabilize the sides. Exaggerated in this drawing for clarity.

"CREW JOIN" SIGN

Or should that be "Join Crew Here"? - makes more sense.
