THE
ULSTER HOSPITAL RADIO - A HISTORY OF THE EARLY YEARSTHE OPENING CEREMONY took place on 6th April 1976
About 60 guests assembled in the Hospital Restaurant which had been given
over to the event.
BBC TV and RTE both in attendance together with members
of the local Press. Also several Radio and TV Presenters.
Using the SOOBE we were able to broadcast live from the reception. Guests were taken to the studio in small groups to see the broadcast facilities.
The Hospital provided the buffet.
