19 Feb Ten badly burnt patients from the La Mon bomb wanted to have requests played (We were reticent about entering the ward) We linked up with Ards Hospital Radio and broadcast to both hospitals a sermon given by the Minister of Gransha Church who came into the UHR studio especially for the event. Gransha church is opposite La Mon.

20 May Exhibited Hospital Radio Station at a tented hobbies exhibition in Ballybeen Dundonald (Photos)
21 May Over 1000 youngsters (various organisations) parade through Dundonald for a service at the Presbyterian Church. We recorded interviews and the bands playing. We also recorded the church service. The recordings were then rushed through the crowds (with a police escort!) to be edited and played on the Hospital Radio. An especially important broadcast because the Minister who was scheduled to give the sermon at that youth service was a patient, so had to listen to the radio to hear someone else give the address! (7 volunteers involved)
