16 Feb Colin, Adrian W, RobinW and Brian W moved the BBC desk from BBC Ormeau Ave Belfast to Danny W's house.
19 April Brian W. met Ulster Hospital personel (including Tom F. who was the Unit Adminstrator) to discuss progress with Radio Station
27 May Colin, Adrian W. and Brian W. Moved hospital-made control desk to Danny W's house
1 Sept Control desk powered up for first time (Still at Danny's house)
10 Sept Brian W. to Ulster Hospital to accept cheque for £100 to buy records (Probably from Dundonald Lion's Club)
14 Sept Nine people moved the Radio desk (photos) from Danny's House to the Hospital studio. Had to remove door frame of Danny's to get desk through.
21 Sept Robin and Brian W to watch Ards Hospital radio get on air for first time.
29 Sept Brian W meeting with Ulster Hospital matron. Still waiting for studio to be built
1 Oct. Donation from Hospital Bowling Club. Photo and cutting reporting progress
19 Oct Brian W chatting to Keith B. (DJ) about a regular pop music programme.
Oct Somewhen this month we recorded the first Jingle. The harpsicord was played by Havelock Nelson and the voice over was Michael Baguley. This recording is from a 30 year old cassette tape so theres wow, hum and distortion. Apart from that it's alright! CLICK to hear. Needs RealPlayer
10 Oct Work started on building studio partition walls. Builders and materials supplied free by Maurice P's firm.
12 Oct Walls being plastered. Danny W and Brian W working until midnight putting in wiring.
13 Oct All day working at hospital threading cables under the corridor to link up with the distribution amplifiers.
19 Oct Lighting and power circuits all completed.
22 Oct Desk functional and some training using it. (Photo of Angus)

21 Dec New, replacement window put in studio.
23 Dec ON AIR FOR FIRST TIME Two hour programme including interviews with Merlyn Rees and wife (Photo) Secretary of State for NI.
Maurice Shillington (BBC announcer) was guest presenter.
