SPOOKY WOODS Where our quartet meet the wicked witch.

Yes there is a great similarity between this cloth and one I painted for another company six years previously!. However this one had a split up the middle (at the point where the paint tin is.) to allow 'ghosts' and 'goolies' to appear through. The witches castle broods in the background. Photograph below taken in daylight.

Inevitably the canvas warped at this cut edge so I painted the back too so that it looked suitably tree-like where it curled.

This cloth was not a full one but acted as a front cloth with the main curtains pulled in to cover the edges. This meant, in order to ensure a good overlap at the sides, I had to sacrifice some of my painting at the edges. Couple that fact with the overlap needed in the centre, it's a wonder there was anything left of the artwork to see at all!

Photo taken under stage lights.
