20 Jan	Richard A. (Guest BBC reporter) recorded an interview with the new Ulster Hospital Adminstrator (in the studio) for the forthcoming start of the regular Sunday afternoon programme.
22 Jan	FIRST OF THE REGULAR THURSDAY POP PROGRAMMES STARTED. "Pop at Eight" DJ = Keith B. Studio Manager = Gordon B. (Station Manager Brian W. was ill in bed and missed it so they brought him a tape of it to hear)
25 Jan	FIRST OF REGULAR SUNDAY PROGRAMMES STARTED "Requests and Things" Studio Manager - Pete L; Anncr= Don J; Producer= Brian W. Event hindered by visitors. There were eleven crammed into the studio and cubicle. Cutting and photo

22 Feb	Interview with patient who is the weaver at the Ulster Folk Museum
29 Feb	Interview with Miss R. (Sister Tutor for the Hospital) Interviewed three mothers who had givin birth to leap year babies.

14 March	Interviewed May McQ (very lively hospital cleaner). The last half hour of this regular Sunday programme was devoted to religious music and presented by William W. This format continued for until June when "Religion" had it's own programme slot (8th June). (Photo of William W. and Rev McR.)
19 March	Interviewed Hospital electrician about putting all the clocks forward next Sunday
21 March	Used SOOBE for the first time. So was able to interview a patient live on air from their bedside
6 April	OFFICIAL OPENING OF ULSTER HOSPITAL RADIO more
11 April	Two people from the Royal watched the broadcast. They had come to see how they could set up a Hospital Radio at the RVH. Studio guests - two American Gospel singers
13 April	The BBC Radio Ulster Programme "Upwards Downwards" came live from the Hospital Radio Studio.
17 April	Rigging mics in Dundonald Methodist Church
18 April	Recorded Methodist Church Service in morning. Broadcast it to the patients in the evening.
25 April	Whole Sunday afternoon broadcast in sunshine on patio.
2 May	Studio guest presenter Diane Harron (BBC TV Reporter)
9 May	FIRST OUTSIDE BROADCAST FROM CHILDRENS' WARD...more Also interview with Mr Vance (Principal of Dundonald PS) about the School's beautiful gardens being open to the public that weekend. Also a tape loaned to us by UTV of the Show Biz Club of Belfast (Don't know the significance - Might have been an award to an Ulster Hospital nurse - BW)

30 Sept	FIRST OF MANY LIVE OBS FROM THE NURSES RECREATION HALL Old Peoples' Show. This was a live stage show put on by local Dundonald folk for the geriatric patients. (wheeled in in wheel chairs and beds!)
1 Oct	Recording inserts for the Harvest Anthology. Poetry, songs, nurses talking about their life on the farm etc. The whole compiled for us by Sam Hanna Bell (BBC producer and writer) FIRST USE OF THE BOARDROOM.... More
3 Oct	Morning- Broadcast the "Harvest Anthology" tape' Afternoon - Guest presenter Paul C. (BBC). Studio guests - two members of Dundonald Lion's Club Terry S. and Bill D. handing over another donation
4 Oct	Set up stall in foyer of Hospital and recorded visitors' messages to their loved ones.
5 Oct	A scoop! Broadcast Hospital Radio volunteer William W.'s recorded interview with Cliff Richard who was visiting Belfast.
7 Oct	Studio guests- Night Porters John and Richard (CandW fans) Also George M. and Arlene from Ards Hospital Radio

21 Dec	Broadcast recodings we had made of Ballyoran PS Choir and Dundonald Presbysterian Choir.
22 Dec	Live OB of the Hospital Carol Service from the Nurses Recreation Hall (six volunteers needed to rig and control
24 Dec	Christmas eve special programme OB from the Children's Ward. Guests included a choir and guitars. Through the "magic" of radio the children were able to converse with Santa as he flew towards the hospital. CLICK to hear a two minute extract.
