in Time Fund" for a heart car/ambulance. Also a phone-in with a doctor who had just returned from using the vehicle. |

30 Jan | Studio Guest presenter. James Ford Smyth (Blind curator at Ulster Museum and instigator of talking newspapers for the blind in Ulster) read request sheets using braille machine |
15 Feb | Genesis Folk Group performed live on the Gospel Melody Hour from the Boardroom. (Five UHR volunteers involved) After the broadcast they toured several wards and gave little concerts. |
20 Feb | Studio Guest - Anna W. Chinese girl in full ceremonial costume. This was the start of the Chinese New Year. After the broadcast she went around several of the wards to show her costume to the patients. |
27 Feb | Recorded "Bowlers Service" at St Mary's Dundonald. |
12 March | FIRST (and only?) SPORT OUTSIDE BROADCAST. A commentary by Alf J. from the Ards Rugby Club. Broadcast down the phone line (croc clips - naughty naughty) using the SOOBE |
