This was the year when the Northern Ireland branch of NAHBO (National Association of Hospital Broadcasting Organisations) really got under way with lots of interaction between the various groups.
4 March Presbyterian Moderator as guest on Gospel Show (Cutting and photo)
14 April 5 volunteers working on a Ulster Hospital Radio float for the Dundonald Festival.
19 April Dundonald Festival. Our float (photos) won.
20 April Recorded Youth Service at Dundonald Church (over 1000 youngsters taking part). 8 UHR volunteers involved
5 May Four Hospital Radio groups building float for Belfast Lord Mayors Show (Took all week)
10 May Belfast Lord Mayor's Show. Our float won the Governors trophy. Best in Show. Click for 16 photos
11 May Studio guest - the actor Patrick Allen who was one of the judges in yesterday's show.
31 May The UHR Float (see 19 April) also won at the Ards Carnival

5 June

11 Oct
Hospital Radio Week Exhibition at Newtownards Shopping Centre
2 Nov Big OB from Children's ward... "The Rupert Bear Party" 100 chidren there (some visitors) plus comedian, conjuror, dancers, (13 volunteers involved)
17 Dec Usual traditional live OB from the recreation hall of the Nurses Carol Service.
21 Dec A "Teen Team" programme with all seven volunteers working on the programme under 18 years of age.
